Trevor Griffin began his career as lead alto with the young Northside Big Band playing at the Monterey Jazz Festival in 1979 and recording two albums. He graduated Sydney Conservatorium in 1981 with a diploma in Jazz.
In the years since he has played for many International artists including Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jnr, Liza Minelli, Shirley Bassey, Liberace, Temptations, Four Tops, Gene Pitney, Harry Secombe and many, many more.
Trevor has an extensive career in both studio and television. Working in the studio bands on such shows as Star Search, Mike Walsh Show and The Midday Show. He also has worked extensively in theatre shows such as Company, Nine, Anything Goes and 42nd Street to name just a few.
Trevor has worked with variuos local jazz ensembles over the years including, Joe Canes - Killer Joe, Steve Giordanos - Time Machine, Salsa, Ten Part Invention, Roger Frampton's Saxophone Sextet, Ed Wilson Big Band and The Sydney All-Star Big Band.
